Do you find a full beehive to be an intimidating hairstyle to wear? Why not opt for a baby bouffant instead? It is a fun way to sport a retro hairstyle without looking over-the-top. This sweet and voluminous hairstyle is also a great way to spice up your day or night look.

Here is a step by step guide to create your own baby bouffant at home:

1. You need to start prepping this hairstyle in order to create a highly volumised bouffant. Take out a large barrel curling iron and work on the top section of your hair. Make sure to clip the top section in order to isolate it from the rest of the hair sections. Work with one-inch sections of hair at a time. When curling, work it towards alternating directions to create natural-looking curls.

2. When you are done curling, tease your hair. Work from the crown and towards the hairline. Use a teasing comb in order to get the hair to be lifted off the roots.

3. After teasing your hair, smoothen out the surface and pin hair back. Loosely lay the hair back down towards the center style to create a bouffant.

4. The final step is to secure the bouffant in place. You can use a decorative comb for that. You can also secure the hair in a low bun or just let it down loosely. At this point, it is up to you to create the specific hairstyle you want.
