Home Styling Texturizer Styling Powder/ Dust

"The Boost Powder hold is better than any hairspray but without the crunch and its just as simple to apply. Lets you juj your style even at the end of the day. Go easy, a little goes a long way. You may need a little extra shampoo to lather when washing it out, but its the best for all day hold, especially on short hair." - Annetta

Benefits

Adds volume Adds texture

Description

American Crew Boost Powder is a weightless styling powder that adds instant gravity-defying lift.

This feather-light powder works by clinging to the hair shaft, creating texture, volume, and a matte finish without stiffness. A few shakes at the roots help fine or flat hair stand up, while still letting you restyle with your fingers throughout the day.

It feels dry, silky, and almost invisible in the hair, with no greasy touch or sticky residue. The finish is matte and natural, so hair looks fuller but never over-styled.

Perfect for men with fine, thinning, or limp hair who want quick root lift or a thicker look. Use it on dry hair whenever you want extra height, separation, and a modern, undone style.

Directions

How To Use American Crew Boost Powder

Start with clean, completely dry hair.
Shake the pot gently before opening to loosen the powder.
Lightly tap a small amount into your palm or directly onto roots.
Distribute through hair, focusing on areas needing lift.
Use fingertips to lift, shape, and separate until you like the volume.
Layer with other American Crew styling products if stronger hold is needed.

Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Propylene Glycol Humectants

Humectant

Helps hold moisture and carry other ingredients through the formula.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a moisturising formula.

Worth knowing
A widely used humectant and carrier ingredient.
Silica Thickeners and stabilisers

Absorbent and texturising agent

Silica helps control oil, improve texture and provide slip in haircare formulas.

May suit
Those using styling or dry-finish products that benefit from a lightweight, matte feel.

Worth knowing
It is a common mineral ingredient used to enhance spreadability and stabilise product textures. It appears in a wide range of hair and styling products for its versatility.
Citric Acid pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Fine-tunes the product pH, which can help the hair surface feel smooth.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a balanced formula.

Worth knowing
Usually present in small amounts to balance the formula.
VP/VA Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and style retention.

May suit
