Apply to dry or towel-dried hair.

Ingredients

Evo Box o Bollox Texture Paste Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Petrolatum, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Ozokerite, Microcrystalline Wax, Kaolin, Oleth-3, Oleth-3 Phosphate, PVP/VA co-polymer, Polyquaternium-11, Lanolin Cera, DEA, Cyclopentasiloxane, Parfum, Chloroacetamide and Sodium Benzoate.

Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Petrolatum Oils and butters

Occlusive moisturiser

Petrolatum forms a protective barrier that helps lock in moisture and smooth the hair and scalp.

May suit
Those with very dry, fragile or textured hair that benefits from strong moisture retention.

Worth knowing
It is highly refined for cosmetic use and is valued for its ability to reduce moisture loss. Because it is heavy, it is usually used in small amounts or in targeted treatments.
Cera Alba (Beeswax) Thickeners and stabilisers

Thickener and styling aide

A natural wax used to thicken formulas and provide light hold and conditioning.

May suit
People looking for products that add gentle control, smoothness or texture.

Worth knowing
Beeswax can help lock in moisture and give hair a soft, pliable finish. It is commonly used in balms, pomades and creams for shape and definition.
Ozokerite Thickeners and stabilisers

Thickener and texture enhancer

Ozokerite is a mineral wax used to thicken formulations and improve texture and stability.

May suit
Those who prefer styling or conditioning products with a richer, more structured feel.

Worth knowing
It helps products maintain shape and consistency, particularly in waxes, balms and pomades. It can also support hold in styling formulas without feeling overly greasy.
Microcrystalline Wax Thickeners and stabilisers

Structuring and thickening agent

Microcrystalline Wax helps thicken and structure haircare products, giving them a firm yet flexible texture.

May suit
Those using styling products such as pomades, waxes or balms that rely on a stable, mouldable consistency.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in styling formulas because it offers a smooth, pliable hold without feeling brittle. Its melting behaviour also helps products maintain stability in varying temperatures.
Kaolin Thickeners and stabilisers

Absorbent mineral clay

Kaolin is a fine white clay used to absorb excess oil and provide gentle cleansing or texture in haircare products.

May suit
Those with oily scalps or those using styling products that benefit from a matte, volumising effect.

Worth knowing
Kaolin is a naturally occurring clay that can help improve product texture while offering mild cleansing without stripping. It is commonly used in scalp treatments, masks and texturising products.
Polyquaternium-11 Conditioning agents

Film-forming conditioner

A film-forming polymer that helps smooth, condition and lightly hold the hair.

May suit
People looking for improved manageability, frizz control or soft styling hold.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in both shampoos and styling products because it enhances slip and helps hair feel smoother. It can also support curl definition and reduce static.
Lanolin Conditioning agents

Emollient conditioning agent

Lanolin helps soften and condition hair by forming a protective, moisturising film.

May suit
Those with very dry, coarse or textured hair that benefits from richer conditioning.

Worth knowing
Lanolin is derived from wool wax and is valued for its ability to boost softness and shine. It can feel rich, so it is typically used in small amounts in modern formulas.
Cyclopentasiloxane Silicones

Slip and shine agent

A lightweight silicone that spreads product evenly and gives a silky, fast-absorbing feel.

May suit
People wanting a light, non-greasy smoothing or shine finish.

Worth knowing
Often used in serums and oils for a weightless feel. Some prefer silicone-free options depending on routine.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
