I used to have a white Denman brush many years ago. It bit the dust after much use over 20 years. I have a lot of fine wavy hair that I prefer to be straight. This Denman brush gently stretches my hair leaving it straight, bouncy and shiny. When I ordered the brush my hair was 10cm below my ears and this size brush was perfect. However, my new shorter haircut could possibly be better served with the 5 row brush. Having said that I still love the 7 row heavy duty because my hair needs some resistance when being blow dried.
