"I have usually used thicker curling wands in the past, but find that although I get the desired look instantly, by the end of the night my hair is basically straight again. Initailly, when curling with this Elektra curling wand I found that the curls were too tight, however after a few hours they were perfect!
I suggest that if you have a function to do your hair a few hours before, that way the curls will have dropped enough. Use hairspray to hold the curls in as well.
