Why you’ll love it

Turn flat, lifeless hair into touchable volume in seconds.
Creates instant root lift with a dry, matte, non-greasy finish.
Gives fine hair thicker-looking texture without weighing it down.
Easy to restyle with fingers, no brush or heat needed.

Benefits

Adds volume Adds texture

Description

De Lorenzo Elements Quicksand Matt Styling Powder is a lightweight powder that adds instant volume and grip.

This styling powder works by lightly coating each strand, creating lift at the roots and a soft matte finish. The fine, talc-like texture disappears into the hair, leaving no visible residue.

Hair feels dry to the touch, never sticky, with a natural, flexible hold you can restyle through the day. It’s ideal for fine or flat hair, short cuts, and anyone who wants quick, effortless texture.

Use it in the morning for everyday shape, or before a night out for extra height and definition. Expect hair that feels fuller, looks thicker, and stays in place while still moving naturally.

Directions

How To Use De Lorenzo Elements Quicksand Matt Styling Powder

Shake the bottle gently before use.
Apply to dry hair only.
Lift sections and lightly sprinkle powder at the roots.
Use fingertips to massage in and create lift and texture.
Add more gradually until you reach your desired volume.
Restyle with your hands any time during the day.

Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Silica Silylate Thickeners and stabilisers

Texture and stabilising agent

Helps thicken formulas and improve grip or texture in styling products.

May suit
People who like matte, volumising or texturising finishes in hair styling.

Worth knowing
It is a treated form of silica that enhances spreadability and helps products stay uniform. Commonly used in dry shampoos, pastes and sprays for added hold.
VP/VA Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and style retention.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting hold or improved definition in styling products.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates flexible, brushable hold. It can also help reduce frizz by forming a lightweight coating on the hair.
Alcohol Denat. Solvents

Solvent

A fast-evaporating solvent that helps dissolve ingredients and improve product dry time.

May suit
People who use styling products that benefit from quick drying or a lightweight feel.

Worth knowing
Its quick evaporation can help reduce residue and support a clean finish in styling formulas. Some may notice it can feel slightly drying in leave-in products depending on hair type.
Phenoxyethanol Preservatives

Preservative

Helps keep the product stable and pleasant to use after opening.

May suit
All products that need protecting from spoilage.

Worth knowing
A very common, well-studied preservative used at low levels.
Caprylyl Glycol Humectants

Humectant

Helps attract and hold moisture in hair and scalp while supporting product stability.

May suit
Those looking for added hydration or smoother-feeling hair.

Worth knowing
It is also commonly used as a preservative booster to help maintain formula freshness. It is well tolerated in most haircare products.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Amyl Cinnamal Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A floral-scented fragrance ingredient used to enhance a product’s aroma.

May suit
Those who enjoy lightly floral-scented haircare products.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance allergens that must be listed on labels when present above certain thresholds. Its presence does not indicate product quality, but can help those monitoring specific fragrance components.
Benzyl Benzoate Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that is listed separately on labels by labelling convention.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Butylphenyl Methylpropional Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A synthetic fragrance ingredient used to add a floral scent to haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy distinctly floral-scented products.

Worth knowing
It is a recognised fragrance allergen, so people with known fragrance sensitivities may prefer to patch test. Regulations and usage vary by region, and it may be phased out in some markets.
Citronellol Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component with a soft floral, rose-like character.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Hexyl Cinnamal Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance ingredient used to give products a light, floral scent.

May suit
Those who enjoy subtly scented haircare products.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance components that must be listed separately when present above certain levels. People with known fragrance sensitivities may choose to monitor for it.
Limonene Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that also occurs naturally in many citrus and plant oils.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Linalool Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component found naturally in many flowers and spices.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.

I put this on my roots to gain lift. I does leave your hair feeling a bit yuck (like dry shampoo) but it’s worth it. I buy this brand because they are cruelty free.

I am so happy and glad I found this product, seriously does whats its made to do. My hair has thinned out so much and unlike so many other thickening products Ive used (sprays, shampoos/conditioners, mokusses) it actually works and doesnt leave my hair greasy or heavy in anyway.
