Why you’ll love it

Sculpt, slick, or mess it up—without your hair ever feeling stiff.
Gives hair a soft sheen, not a heavy, greasy film.
Medium hold lets you restyle easily throughout the day.
Creamy texture spreads smoothly and washes out without effort.

Description

De Lorenzo DMAN Pomade is a flexible styling pomade that shapes hair with smooth, lasting control.

This creamy, medium-hold formula glides easily through hair, helping you define styles, tame flyaways, and add subtle shine without stiffness. It works by coating each strand with light, pliable waxes that let you restyle throughout the day.

The texture feels silky, never sticky, and rinses out cleanly with shampoo. Hair looks polished, not greasy, with a soft sheen that catches the light.

Ideal for short to medium hair, it suits classic, messy, or slick looks for day or night. Use it when you want hair that feels touchable, looks neat, and stays in place with a relaxed, natural finish.

Water (Aqua) Solvents

Solvent

Water acts as the main solvent that dissolves and distributes other ingredients in a formula.

May suit
Anyone using liquid haircare products, as water is a core component.

Worth knowing
It helps create a workable texture and allows surfactants, conditioners and other actives to perform effectively.
Ceteareth-25 Cleansers / surfactants

Emulsifier and surfactant

Helps blend oil- and water-based ingredients and supports product spreadability.

May suit
Those wanting smooth, uniform haircare textures that apply easily.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in conditioners, creams, and styling products to keep formulas stable and consistent. It also assists with rinsing and overall product feel.
PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate Cleansers / surfactants

Mild surfactant and emollient

A gentle, non-ionic surfactant that also adds light softness and slip to hair.

May suit
Those looking for mild cleansing with a smoother, less stripped feel.

Worth knowing
It is often included to make cleansing formulas feel more conditioning and to help solubilise oils or fragrances. It pairs well with stronger surfactants to create a more balanced wash.
Propylene Glycol Humectants

Humectant

Helps hold moisture and carry other ingredients through the formula.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a moisturising formula.

Worth knowing
A widely used humectant and carrier ingredient.
PVP Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming polymer

PVP is a film-forming ingredient that helps provide hold and structure in styling products.

May suit
Anyone looking for longer-lasting hold, enhanced definition or improved style memory.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates a flexible film on the hair shaft. Its performance can vary with humidity, so it is often blended with other polymers for stability.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Cleansers / surfactants

Solubiliser and emulsifier

Helps blend oils and fragrance into water-based formulas for even texture and performance.

May suit
Useful for those who prefer haircare products with clear, consistent textures or evenly dispersed fragrance and oils.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in shampoos, conditioners and styling products to keep formulations stable and smooth. It also offers mild surfactant properties that support product rinse-off.
Petrolatum Oils and butters

Occlusive moisturiser

Petrolatum forms a protective barrier that helps lock in moisture and smooth the hair and scalp.

May suit
Those with very dry, fragile or textured hair that benefits from strong moisture retention.

Worth knowing
It is highly refined for cosmetic use and is valued for its ability to reduce moisture loss. Because it is heavy, it is usually used in small amounts or in targeted treatments.
Ozokerite Thickeners and stabilisers

Thickener and texture enhancer

Ozokerite is a mineral wax used to thicken formulations and improve texture and stability.

May suit
Those who prefer styling or conditioning products with a richer, more structured feel.

Worth knowing
It helps products maintain shape and consistency, particularly in waxes, balms and pomades. It can also support hold in styling formulas without feeling overly greasy.
Mineral Oil Oils and butters

Emollient / occlusive

Helps smooth and coat the hair by forming a lightweight protective layer.

May suit
People looking to reduce moisture loss, add slip, or tame frizz.

Worth knowing
Mineral oil is a highly refined cosmetic-grade ingredient valued for its stability and ability to lock in moisture. It is commonly used in hair treatments and styling products for added softness and shine.
VP/VA Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and style retention.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting hold or improved definition in styling products.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates flexible, brushable hold. It can also help reduce frizz by forming a lightweight coating on the hair.
PEG-12 Dimethicone Silicones

Silicone-based conditioning agent

A water-dispersible silicone that helps soften hair, add slip and reduce frizz.

May suit
People looking for smoother, easier-to-detangle hair without a heavy silicone feel.

Worth knowing
Because it is water-dispersible, it tends to rinse out more easily than many traditional silicones. It is commonly used in both rinse-off and leave-in formulas for added manageability.
Phenoxyethanol Preservatives

Preservative

Helps keep the product stable and pleasant to use after opening.

May suit
All products that need protecting from spoilage.

Worth knowing
A very common, well-studied preservative used at low levels.
Caprylyl Glycol Humectants

Humectant

Helps attract and hold moisture in hair and scalp while supporting product stability.

May suit
Those looking for added hydration or smoother-feeling hair.

Worth knowing
It is also commonly used as a preservative booster to help maintain formula freshness. It is well tolerated in most haircare products.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Disodium EDTA Chelating agents

Chelating agent

Binds to minerals from hard water so the product works consistently and stays stable.

May suit
All products, especially in hard-water areas.

Worth knowing
Used in tiny amounts to keep formulas performing reliably.
Citric Acid pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Fine-tunes the product pH, which can help the hair surface feel smooth.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a balanced formula.

Worth knowing
Usually present in small amounts to balance the formula.
Limonene Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that also occurs naturally in many citrus and plant oils.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Linalool Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component found naturally in many flowers and spices.

Worth knowing
