Ingredients

DunGud Dry Cleaner - Dry Shampoo Paste Ingredients

Aqua/water, Silica Silylate, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Hydrated Silica, Pvp, Phenoxyethanol, Santalum Acuminatum Fruit Extract, Silk Extract, Parfum/fragrance

Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Silica Silylate Thickeners and stabilisers

Texture and stabilising agent

Helps thicken formulas and improve grip or texture in styling products.

May suit
People who like matte, volumising or texturising finishes in hair styling.

Worth knowing
It is a treated form of silica that enhances spreadability and helps products stay uniform. Commonly used in dry shampoos, pastes and sprays for added hold.
Unspecified Ingredient Thickeners and stabilisers

Formulation aid

This entry represents a placeholder where no clear ingredient name was provided.

Worth knowing
Sometimes data exports or label scans include formatting characters rather than actual ingredient names. This placeholder can be updated once the correct INCI name is known.
Alcohol Denat. Solvents

Solvent

A fast-evaporating solvent that helps dissolve ingredients and improve product dry time.

May suit
People who use styling products that benefit from quick drying or a lightweight feel.

Worth knowing
Its quick evaporation can help reduce residue and support a clean finish in styling formulas. Some may notice it can feel slightly drying in leave-in products depending on hair type.
Glycerin Humectants

Humectant

Attracts and holds water to help hair feel hydrated and soft.

May suit
Dry or dehydrated hair, and many curl and moisture routines.

Worth knowing
A very common, well-tolerated humectant used across countless products.
Hydrated Silica Thickeners and stabilisers

Absorbent / texturiser

Hydrated Silica helps control product texture and can absorb excess oils.

May suit
Those looking for lightweight oil control or products with a smoother, more refined texture.

Worth knowing
It is a mineral-derived ingredient widely used to adjust viscosity and improve spreadability in formulations. In haircare it appears in small amounts, mainly for product consistency rather than direct hair effects.
PVP Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming polymer

PVP is a film-forming ingredient that helps provide hold and structure in styling products.

May suit
Anyone looking for longer-lasting hold, enhanced definition or improved style memory.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates a flexible film on the hair shaft. Its performance can vary with humidity, so it is often blended with other polymers for stability.
Phenoxyethanol Preservatives

Preservative

Helps keep the product stable and pleasant to use after opening.

May suit
All products that need protecting from spoilage.

Worth knowing
A very common, well-studied preservative used at low levels.
Santalum Acuminatum Fruit Extract Botanical extracts

Botanical conditioning extract

A plant-derived extract used to help condition and support the overall feel of the hair and scalp.

May suit
Those who like botanical ingredients that offer light conditioning and antioxidant properties.

Worth knowing
Often known as quandong extract, it is valued for its naturally occurring antioxidants and supportive nutrients. It is generally included to complement a formula rather than act as a primary active.
