Adds shine Tones brassiness Lightweight

Description

Jerome Russell Color Bomb Cool Brown 300ml is a temporary colour mousse that refreshes dull brunette hair. It adds cool brown tone while helping to disguise faded colour and unwanted warmth.

This tinted foam is ideal between salon visits or for a quick shade update. The lightweight formula adds visible depth and shine without making hair stiff or sticky. It gradually washes out in a few shampoos, so there is no long-term commitment. Suitable for most natural or coloured brown hair, it works best on light to medium bases. Use to revive colour, blend root regrowth or deepen your existing brown shade for a richer, cooler finish.

Directions

How To Use Jerome Russell Color Bomb Cool Brown 300ml

Note: We recommend performing a strand test before using this colour for the first time, or when trying a different shade, as results can vary depending on your hair.

Wash hair and towel dry until damp, not dripping.
Wear gloves and shake the bottle well before use.
Dispense a small amount of mousse into your palm.
Apply evenly through damp hair, focusing on areas needing colour.
Comb through to distribute from roots to ends.
Leave for 10–15 minutes, checking colour development.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until it runs clear.
Style hair as usual.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Cetearyl Alcohol Conditioning agents

Fatty alcohol conditioner

A fatty alcohol that helps soften hair and improve the texture of formulations.

May suit
People looking for smoother, more manageable hair or richer, creamier product textures.

Worth knowing
Despite the name, fatty alcohols are moisturising and conditioning rather than drying. They also help stabilise and thicken many haircare formulas.
Propylene Glycol Humectants

Humectant

Helps hold moisture and carry other ingredients through the formula.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a moisturising formula.

Worth knowing
A widely used humectant and carrier ingredient.
Cetrimonium Chloride Conditioning agents

Conditioning agent

A conditioning agent that helps smooth and soften the hair while reducing static and tangles.

May suit
People looking for improved manageability, detangling and smoother-feeling hair.

Worth knowing
It is a commonly used quaternary ammonium compound that helps conditioners spread easily through the hair. It is effective even at low levels, which is why it appears frequently in rinse-off products.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine Cleansers / surfactants

Cleanser / foam booster

A milder co-surfactant that helps cleanse, boost foam and soften the feel of stronger cleansers.

May suit
Most hair types, including those wanting a gentler wash.

Worth knowing
Often paired with other surfactants to make a formula feel milder.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Cleansers / surfactants

Solubiliser and emulsifier

Helps blend oils and fragrance into water-based formulas for even texture and performance.

May suit

Worth knowing
It is widely used in shampoos, conditioners and styling products to keep formulations stable and smooth. It also offers mild surfactant properties that support product rinse-off.
Polyquaternium-7 Conditioning agents

Conditioning polymer

A conditioning polymer that helps smooth, soften and reduce static in the hair.

May suit
People looking for improved slip, reduced frizz or easier detangling.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in shampoos, conditioners and styling products to enhance manageability and provide a light, non‑heavy feel. It is well known for offering conditioning benefits without weighing the hair down.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Citric Acid pH adjusters
