Description

Joico InnerJoi Sea Salt Spray is a texturising mist that creates soft, beachy waves with effortless volume.

This light spray works by combining sea salt and natural oils to add grip, movement, and a touchable, matte finish. It gives hair that fresh-from-the-beach look without feeling stiff, sticky, or dry.

The mist feels airy on the hair, with a clean, ocean-kissed scent that doesn’t overpower. Strands feel lightly tousled, full, and easy to restyle with your fingers.

Perfect for fine to medium hair that needs lift, texture, or a relaxed, undone style. Use it on damp hair before air-drying or blow-drying, or mist onto dry hair to refresh flat lengths and add instant body and separation.

Directions

How To Use Joico InnerJoi Sea Salt Spray

Shake well before use.
Spray evenly onto damp hair from mid-lengths to ends.
Scrunch hair with hands to encourage natural waves.
Air-dry for a relaxed finish or blow-dry with a diffuser for more volume.
Mist lightly on dry hair to refresh texture and add grip.
Avoid spraying directly onto roots if your hair gets oily easily.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Magnesium Sulfate Thickeners and stabilisers

Texturising agent

Helps add texture and enhance curl formation by temporarily increasing hair rigidity.

May suit
People looking for added volume, beachy texture or stronger curl definition.

Worth knowing
It is a simple mineral salt often used in styling sprays to create a firmer, more textured feel. Usage levels vary depending on how much definition or hold is desired.
Glycerin Humectants

Humectant

Attracts and holds water to help hair feel hydrated and soft.

Sodium Chloride Thickeners and stabilisers

Viscosity adjuster

Sodium Chloride is used to adjust the thickness of shampoos and other cleansing formulas.

May suit

Worth knowing
It is a simple mineral salt that helps create a familiar shampoo feel and can influence how a cleanser spreads through the hair.
PVP Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming polymer

PVP is a film-forming ingredient that helps provide hold and structure in styling products.

May suit
Anyone looking for longer-lasting hold, enhanced definition or improved style memory.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates a flexible film on the hair shaft. Its performance can vary with humidity, so it is often blended with other polymers for stability.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Cleansers / surfactants

Solubiliser and emulsifier

Helps blend oils and fragrance into water-based formulas for even texture and performance.

May suit
Useful for those who prefer haircare products with clear, consistent textures or evenly dispersed fragrance and oils.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in shampoos, conditioners and styling products to keep formulations stable and smooth. It also offers mild surfactant properties that support product rinse-off.
Maris Sal Thickeners and stabilisers

Texture and volume booster

Maris Sal helps add texture, grip and a fuller feel to hair.

May suit

Strengthening protein

Helps reinforce the hair by depositing small protein fragments that can support softness and resilience.

May suit
People looking to improve the feel of weakened, damaged or chemically treated hair.

Worth knowing
Vegetable-derived proteins are commonly used because they are lightweight and can help reduce the appearance of breakage. They can be included in both rinse-off and leave-in formulas.

Preservative

Helps keep haircare formulas stable by preventing the growth of microbes.

May suit
Anyone who uses water-based products that benefit from reliable preservation.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used alongside other preservation systems to maintain product freshness and extend shelf life. It is generally well tolerated in rinse-off and leave-in products.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
