Lift flat hair into weightless, touchable volume that actually lasts.
Helps roots stand up without stiffness or crunch.
Gives fine hair light grip for easier styling control.
Leaves a clean, satin finish that still feels like your hair.

Benefits

Adds volume

Description

KEVIN.MURPHY ANTI.GRAVITY.SPRAY is a weightless spray that boosts volume and lasting lift.

This oil-free, lightweight formula helps hair look fuller while controlling flyaways and unwanted frizz. It works by coating each strand with flexible hold, so styles stay up without feeling crunchy or sticky.

The fine mist feels airy on the hair and dries to a natural, satin finish with a fresh, subtle scent. Hair feels light, smooth, and easier to shape from roots to ends.

Perfect for fine, limp, or flat hair, and for anyone who wants more height and body. Use before blow-drying or air-drying to build volume, or before styling tools for longer-lasting shape.

Hair looks lifted, touchable, and more alive, without heavy residue.

Directions

How To Use KEVIN.MURPHY ANTI.GRAVITY.SPRAY

Shake well before use.
Spray evenly onto damp hair, focusing on roots and mid-lengths.
Comb through or use fingers to distribute.
Blow-dry for maximum volume or air-dry for lighter texture.
Use before other styling products or hot tools.

Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Alcohol Denat. Solvents

Solvent

A fast-evaporating solvent that helps dissolve ingredients and improve product dry time.

May suit
People who use styling products that benefit from quick drying or a lightweight feel.

Worth knowing
Its quick evaporation can help reduce residue and support a clean finish in styling formulas. Some may notice it can feel slightly drying in leave-in products depending on hair type.
VP/VA Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and style retention.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting hold or improved definition in styling products.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates flexible, brushable hold. It can also help reduce frizz by forming a lightweight coating on the hair.
Propylene Glycol Humectants

Humectant

Helps hold moisture and carry other ingredients through the formula.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a moisturising formula.

Worth knowing
A widely used humectant and carrier ingredient.
PEG-12 Dimethicone Silicones

Silicone-based conditioning agent

A water-dispersible silicone that helps soften hair, add slip and reduce frizz.

May suit
People looking for smoother, easier-to-detangle hair without a heavy silicone feel.

Worth knowing
Because it is water-dispersible, it tends to rinse out more easily than many traditional silicones. It is commonly used in both rinse-off and leave-in formulas for added manageability.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Cleansers / surfactants

Solubiliser and emulsifier

Helps blend oils and fragrance into water-based formulas for even texture and performance.

May suit
Useful for those who prefer haircare products with clear, consistent textures or evenly dispersed fragrance and oils.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in shampoos, conditioners and styling products to keep formulations stable and smooth. It also offers mild surfactant properties that support product rinse-off.
PVP Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming polymer

PVP is a film-forming ingredient that helps provide hold and structure in styling products.

May suit
Anyone looking for longer-lasting hold, enhanced definition or improved style memory.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates a flexible film on the hair shaft. Its performance can vary with humidity, so it is often blended with other polymers for stability.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Benzyl Alcohol Preservatives

Preservative

Helps preserve formulations and can also act as a solvent or light fragrance component.

May suit
Those interested in understanding preservative systems or identifying potential fragrance allergens.

Worth knowing
Benzyl Alcohol is commonly used in professional haircare to support product stability and texture. It can also naturally occur in some essential oils.
Benzyl Salicylate Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

Benzyl Salicylate is a fragrance ingredient used to add a sweet, floral aroma to haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy subtly floral-scented haircare or are monitoring specific fragrance allergens.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance allergens that must be listed individually on product labels when present above certain levels. Its presence does not indicate product strength or quality, only that it contributes to the overall scent profile.
Hexyl Cinnamal Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance ingredient used to give products a light, floral scent.

May suit
Those who enjoy subtly scented haircare products.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance components that must be listed separately when present above certain levels. People with known fragrance sensitivities may choose to monitor for it.
Linalool Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component found naturally in many flowers and spices.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
