Ingredients

Kryolan Make-up Blend Ingredients

Cyclopentasiloxane, Isododecane, Polymethyl Methacrylate, C18-38 Alkyl Hydroxystearoyl Stearate, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Nylon-12, Polyethylene, Alcohol Denat., Polybutene, Octocrylene, Tocopheryl Acetate

Cyclopentasiloxane Silicones

Slip and shine agent

A lightweight silicone that spreads product evenly and gives a silky, fast-absorbing feel.

May suit
People wanting a light, non-greasy smoothing or shine finish.

Worth knowing
Often used in serums and oils for a weightless feel. Some prefer silicone-free options depending on routine.
Isododecane Solvents

Lightweight solvent

Isododecane helps dissolve other ingredients and gives hair products a lightweight, non-greasy feel.

May suit
People who prefer lightweight styling or smoothing products that don’t weigh the hair down.

Worth knowing
It evaporates quickly, which can help products spread easily without residue. It is commonly used to enhance slip and smoothness in styling formulas.
Cera Alba (Beeswax) Thickeners and stabilisers

Thickener and styling aide

A natural wax used to thicken formulas and provide light hold and conditioning.

May suit
People looking for products that add gentle control, smoothness or texture.

Worth knowing
Beeswax can help lock in moisture and give hair a soft, pliable finish. It is commonly used in balms, pomades and creams for shape and definition.
Trimethylsiloxysilicate Silicones

Film-forming silicone

Forms a flexible, long-lasting film on the hair to enhance smoothness and hold.

May suit
People looking for humidity resistance, frizz control or longer-lasting styling performance.

Worth knowing
This silicone is valued for providing durable hold without a heavy feel and is commonly used in styling and finishing products. It can be removed with standard cleansing shampoos.
Disteardimonium Hectorite Thickeners and stabilisers

Thickener and stabiliser

A clay-derived thickener that helps stabilise and improve the texture of haircare formulations.

May suit
Those who prefer products with a smooth, consistent texture that spread easily through the hair.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used to keep formulas uniform and prevent separation in creams, gels and styling products. It also helps suspend other ingredients evenly throughout the product.
Nylon-12 Thickeners and stabilisers

Texturising polymer

A lightweight polymer used to improve texture, slip and spreadability in hair products.

May suit
Those who prefer a smoother application or a soft-focus, non-greasy finish in styling products.

Worth knowing
It helps create a silky feel and can reduce greasiness or heaviness in formulations. It is commonly used in both haircare and skincare for its soft, powdery finish.
Polyethylene Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-former / stabiliser

Polyethylene is used to add texture, stability or slip to haircare formulations.

May suit
Those looking for products with enhanced glide or smoother application.

Worth knowing
It can help improve the feel and consistency of creams and styling products. In modern formulations it is used in very small amounts to support product performance.
Alcohol Denat. Solvents

Solvent

A fast-evaporating solvent that helps dissolve ingredients and improve product dry time.

May suit
People who use styling products that benefit from quick drying or a lightweight feel.

Worth knowing
Its quick evaporation can help reduce residue and support a clean finish in styling formulas. Some may notice it can feel slightly drying in leave-in products depending on hair type.
Polybutene Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-former / texture enhancer

Polybutene helps thicken formulas and create a smooth, flexible film on the hair.

May suit
Those looking for products that enhance shine, reduce frizz or improve styling hold.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used to give haircare products a sleek, conditioned feel and to support light hold in styling formulas. It also helps improve spreadability and texture.
Octocrylene UV filters

UV filter

Octocrylene is a UV filter that helps protect formulas and hair from UV-related degradation.

May suit
Those looking for hair products that offer added UV protection or colour preservation.

Worth knowing
It is often used to stabilise other UV filters and can support colour-treated hair by helping reduce UV fade. It also contributes to product longevity by protecting light‑sensitive ingredients.
Tocopheryl Acetate Conditioning agents

Antioxidant and conditioning support

A stable form of vitamin E used to help condition hair and support product stability.

May suit
Those looking for added conditioning support or antioxidant benefits in their haircare.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used because it is more stable than pure vitamin E while still offering similar benefits. It appears in many leave-in and rinse-off formulations.
