Description

Matrix Biolage Full Rescue Conditioner is a caring rinse-out treatment that helps revive stressed, fragile hair.

This creamy conditioner works by coating each strand with a smooth, protective layer, helping to reduce the feel of dryness and roughness. As you rinse, hair feels silkier, easier to comb, and less likely to snag.

The texture is rich but not heavy, gliding through lengths and ends without weighing them down. Hair is left with a soft, touchable finish and a light, fresh salon-style scent.

Ideal for damaged, over-styled, or chemically treated hair, it fits easily into your daily or every-other-day wash routine. Expect hair that feels more manageable, looks smoother, and is quicker to style.

Directions

How To Use Matrix Biolage Full Rescue Conditioner

Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends, avoiding roots if fine

Cetearyl Alcohol Conditioning agents

Fatty alcohol conditioner

A fatty alcohol that helps soften hair and improve the texture of formulations.

May suit
People looking for smoother, more manageable hair or richer, creamier product textures.

Worth knowing
Despite the name, fatty alcohols are moisturising and conditioning rather than drying. They also help stabilise and thicken many haircare formulas.
Behentrimonium Chloride Conditioning agents

Conditioning agent

A conditioning agent that helps detangle and soften, reducing static and roughness.

May suit
Most hair types, especially tangle-prone or coarse hair.

Worth knowing
A common conditioner ingredient despite the chloride name, which simply describes its chemistry.
Cetyl Esters Conditioning agents

Emollient / slip enhancer

Provides slip and softness while helping to smooth the hair’s surface.

May suit
People looking for smoother, more manageable hair textures.

Worth knowing
Cetyl esters are wax‑like emollients that improve product spreadability and give a soft, conditioned feel. They are commonly used to enhance texture without heaviness.
Isopropyl Alcohol Solvents

Solvent

Helps dissolve ingredients and supports quick-drying formulas.

May suit
Those using styling products that benefit from fast evaporation, such as sprays.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used at low levels to improve texture and spreadability. It evaporates quickly, leaving minimal residue on the hair.
Phenoxyethanol Preservatives

Preservative

Helps keep the product stable and pleasant to use after opening.

May suit
All products that need protecting from spoilage.

Worth knowing
A very common, well-studied preservative used at low levels.
Lactic Acid pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Helps adjust and maintain the product’s pH for optimal performance.

May suit
Those looking for formulas that help smooth the cuticle or gently refine the scalp surface.

Worth knowing
Lactic Acid can also provide mild hydrating and smoothing benefits in haircare. Its pH-balancing role helps support product stability and performance.
Potassium Sorbate Preservatives

Preservative

Helps keep haircare formulas stable by preventing the growth of microbes.

May suit
Anyone who uses water-based products that benefit from reliable preservation.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used alongside other preservation systems to maintain product freshness and extend shelf life. It is generally well tolerated in rinse-off and leave-in products.
Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride Preservatives

Antimicrobial preservative

Helps control microbial growth and maintain product freshness.

May suit
Those interested in formulas designed to support a cleaner-feeling scalp environment.

Worth knowing
It is a well‑established antimicrobial ingredient sometimes used in scalp‑focused products. Its inclusion helps ensure product stability over time.
Limonene Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that also occurs naturally in many citrus and plant oils.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Linalool Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component found naturally in many flowers and spices.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Benzyl Salicylate Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

Benzyl Salicylate is a fragrance ingredient used to add a sweet, floral aroma to haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy subtly floral-scented haircare or are monitoring specific fragrance allergens.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance allergens that must be listed individually on product labels when present above certain levels. Its presence does not indicate product strength or quality, only that it contributes to the overall scent profile.
Hexyl Cinnamal Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance ingredient used to give products a light, floral scent.

May suit
Those who enjoy subtly scented haircare products.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance components that must be listed separately when present above certain levels. People with known fragrance sensitivities may choose to monitor for it.
Citric Acid pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Fine-tunes the product pH, which can help the hair surface feel smooth.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a balanced formula.

Worth knowing
Usually present in small amounts to balance the formula.
