Directions

How To Use Medik8 C-Tetra

After cleansing in the morning, massage 4 drops across the face, neck and décolletage. Leave to absorb before applying moisturiser.

Ingredients

Medik8 C-Tetra Ingredients

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, PPG-12/SMDI Copolymer, Limonene, Citral, Linalool, Geraniol.

Jojoba Seed Oil Oils and butters

Emollient oil

A lightweight plant oil that helps condition and soften the hair.

May suit
Those seeking smoother, more manageable hair or added moisture without heaviness.

Worth knowing
Jojoba oil is structurally similar to natural scalp oils, which makes it versatile in many haircare formulas. It is commonly used to enhance softness and shine.
Cyclopentasiloxane Silicones

Slip and shine agent

A lightweight silicone that spreads product evenly and gives a silky, fast-absorbing feel.

May suit
People wanting a light, non-greasy smoothing or shine finish.

Worth knowing
Often used in serums and oils for a weightless feel. Some prefer silicone-free options depending on routine.
Cyclohexasiloxane Silicones

Lightweight silicone

A volatile silicone that provides slip and a smooth, silky feel without heaviness.

May suit
Those wanting smoother, easier‑to‑detangle hair or lightweight shine.

Worth knowing
It evaporates after application, making it useful for delivering spreadability without long‑term buildup. Commonly paired with other conditioning agents in styling and treatment formulas.
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate Oils and butters

Oil‑soluble vitamin C derivative

An oil‑soluble form of vitamin C that supports antioxidant protection in hair and scalp formulas.

May suit
Those interested in colour protection, scalp care, or antioxidant‑rich treatments.

Worth knowing
Its oil‑soluble nature allows it to blend easily into richer haircare textures and remain stable in formulations. It is used at low levels to help support overall formula performance rather than provide a dramatic standalone effect.
Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance oil

Provides a fresh citrus scent and light aromatic qualities in haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy naturally derived citrus fragrances in their haircare routine.

Worth knowing
As a citrus essential oil, it is mainly used for its aroma and may also offer a refreshing sensory experience. Like many essential oils, it is used in small amounts within balanced formulas.
Tocopheryl Acetate Conditioning agents

Antioxidant and conditioning support

A stable form of vitamin E used to help condition hair and support product stability.

May suit
Those looking for added conditioning support or antioxidant benefits in their haircare.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used because it is more stable than pure vitamin E while still offering similar benefits. It appears in many leave-in and rinse-off formulations.
PPG-12/SMDI Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps improve texture, hold, and product stability.

May suit
People looking for light styling support or smoother application from leave-in or styling products.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in styling formulas to enhance hold without stiffness. It can also help stabilise emulsions and improve spreadability.
Limonene Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that also occurs naturally in many citrus and plant oils.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Citral Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

Citral is a fragrance ingredient used to provide a fresh, citrus-like scent.

May suit
Those who enjoy citrus-style fragrances or want products with a fresh aromatic profile.

Worth knowing
Citral is naturally present in several essential oils and is listed on labels because it is a recognised fragrance allergen. Only small amounts are typically used to adjust or enhance a product’s scent.
Linalool Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component found naturally in many flowers and spices.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Geraniol Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

Geraniol is a fragrant compound that adds a light floral note to haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy floral-scented hair products or are checking for specific fragrance components.

Worth knowing
It is naturally found in essential oils such as rose and geranium and is commonly used to enhance scent profiles. It must be listed on labels when present above certain trace levels.

I love this product. I trust the Medik8 Brand and find many of their products wonderful but C-Tetra is my holy grail. I use it daily and it makes my face feel nourished and hydrated. The price is pretty great compared to other comparable high end brands. Highly recommend! Buying at My Haircare & Beauty you know you're getting the best price - and customer service possible!
