Description

Moroccanoil Shimmering Oil is a nourishing body oil that leaves skin softly glowing.

This lightweight, fast-absorbing oil helps moisturise dry skin while adding a subtle, golden shimmer. The formula is enriched with argan oil and sesame oil, which help smooth and soften without feeling greasy.

The texture feels silky on the skin, with a delicate, warm, slightly sweet fragrance typical of Moroccanoil. It leaves a radiant sheen that catches the light, perfect for arms, legs, and décolleté.

Ideal for evenings out, special occasions, holidays, or whenever skin looks a little dull. You’ll feel polished, pampered, and a touch more confident every time you use it.

Shake bottle well before use to disperse shimmer.

Cyclopentasiloxane Silicones

Slip and shine agent

A lightweight silicone that spreads product evenly and gives a silky, fast-absorbing feel.

May suit
People wanting a light, non-greasy smoothing or shine finish.

Worth knowing
Often used in serums and oils for a weightless feel. Some prefer silicone-free options depending on routine.
Isododecane Solvents

Lightweight solvent

Isododecane helps dissolve other ingredients and gives hair products a lightweight, non-greasy feel.

May suit
People who prefer lightweight styling or smoothing products that don’t weigh the hair down.

Worth knowing
It evaporates quickly, which can help products spread easily without residue. It is commonly used to enhance slip and smoothness in styling formulas.
Mica Colourants

Adds shimmer and colour

Mica provides shimmer, pearlescence and subtle colour to haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy luminous or light-reflective finishes in styling or colouring products.

Worth knowing
It is a mineral powder widely used in cosmetics for its reflective properties. In haircare, it is typically present in small amounts for visual effect rather than performance.
Titanium Dioxide Colourants

Opacifier / colourant

Titanium Dioxide is used to add white colour or opacity to haircare products.

May suit
Those interested in product appearance or opacity, such as in creams or conditioners.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used to create a uniform, opaque look and can also help stabilise formula appearance. Its presence does not affect how the product performs on the hair.
Iron Oxides Colourants

Colourant

Iron Oxides are mineral pigments used to provide colour to haircare and cosmetic products.

May suit
Those interested in tinted or colour-enhancing products.

Worth knowing
These pigments are valued for their stability and are widely used to achieve natural-looking shades. They do not affect the performance of the haircare formula beyond providing colour.
Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil Oils and butters

Conditioning oil

Softens and nourishes the hair, adding slip and a conditioned, glossy feel.

May suit
Dry, dull or frizz-prone hair.

Worth knowing
A popular conditioning oil used across many treatment and shine products.
Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil Oils and butters

Nourishing plant oil

A moisturising plant oil that helps soften and condition the hair.

May suit
Those seeking added smoothness, shine or scalp comfort.

Worth knowing
Sesame seed oil is rich in fatty acids that support softness and manageability in many hair types. It is often used in treatments, masks and leave-ins for its lightweight conditioning feel.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Linalool Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component found naturally in many flowers and spices.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Butylphenyl Methylpropional Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A synthetic fragrance ingredient used to add a floral scent to haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy distinctly floral-scented products.

Worth knowing
It is a recognised fragrance allergen, so people with known fragrance sensitivities may prefer to patch test. Regulations and usage vary by region, and it may be phased out in some markets.
Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component with a soft, violet-like character.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Benzyl Benzoate Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that is listed separately on labels by labelling convention.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Hexyl Cinnamal Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance ingredient used to give products a light, floral scent.

May suit
Those who enjoy subtly scented haircare products.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance components that must be listed separately when present above certain levels. People with known fragrance sensitivities may choose to monitor for it.
Limonene Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that also occurs naturally in many citrus and plant oils.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Coumarin Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

Coumarin is a fragrance ingredient that adds a sweet, warm, slightly herbal note to scented formulations.

May suit
Those who enjoy subtly sweet, complex fragrance profiles in their haircare products.

Worth knowing
It is one of the fragrance components that must be listed individually when present above certain levels, as some people may prefer to monitor specific scent materials. Its presence does not indicate the overall strength of a product's fragrance.
Geraniol Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

Geraniol is a fragrant compound that adds a light floral note to haircare products.

May suit
Those who enjoy floral-scented hair products or are checking for specific fragrance components.

Worth knowing
