Why you’ll love it

Like a beach holiday in a bottle, minus the sunburn.
Creates soft, tousled waves with touchable, matte texture.
Adds grip and volume so styles hold without feeling stiff.
Fresh, coastal scent that leaves hair smelling clean, not perfumey.

Benefits

Adds texture

Description

NAK Sea Salt Mist is a lightweight texturising spray that gives hair effortless, beachy movement.

This fine mist works by coating strands with sea salt minerals and polymers, adding grip and soft definition without stiffness. Hair feels touchable, slightly tousled, and airy, as if you’ve spent the day by the ocean.

The scent is fresh and clean, with a subtle coastal feel that doesn’t overpower. Spray onto damp or dry hair whenever you want extra texture, volume, or a relaxed, undone finish.

Ideal for straight, wavy, or slightly curly hair that needs more body and shape. Perfect for everyday styling, second-day hair, or creating piecey waves that hold without feeling sticky or crunchy.

Directions

How To Use NAK Sea Salt Mist

Shake bottle well before use.
Spray evenly onto damp or towel-dried hair from mid-lengths to ends.
Scrunch hair with hands to build texture and movement.
Air-dry for soft waves or blow-dry with diffuser for extra volume.
For more definition, mist lightly onto dry hair and twist small sections.

Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Magnesium Sulfate Thickeners and stabilisers

Texturising agent

Helps add texture and enhance curl formation by temporarily increasing hair rigidity.

May suit
People looking for added volume, beachy texture or stronger curl definition.

Worth knowing
It is a simple mineral salt often used in styling sprays to create a firmer, more textured feel. Usage levels vary depending on how much definition or hold is desired.
Sodium Chloride Thickeners and stabilisers

Viscosity adjuster

Sodium Chloride is used to adjust the thickness of shampoos and other cleansing formulas.

May suit
Those interested in how a product’s texture and lather are achieved.

Worth knowing
It is a simple mineral salt that helps create a familiar shampoo feel and can influence how a cleanser spreads through the hair.
VP/VA Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and style retention.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting hold or improved definition in styling products.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates flexible, brushable hold. It can also help reduce frizz by forming a lightweight coating on the hair.
Glycerin Humectants

Humectant

Attracts and holds water to help hair feel hydrated and soft.

May suit
Dry or dehydrated hair, and many curl and moisture routines.

Worth knowing
A very common, well-tolerated humectant used across countless products.
Polysorbate 20 Thickeners and stabilisers

Solubiliser / emulsifier

Helps blend oil‑based ingredients into water‑based formulas for a smooth, even texture.

May suit
Those using products with essential oils or fragranced blends, as it helps disperse these evenly.

Worth knowing
It is widely used as a gentle solubiliser in both leave‑in and rinse‑off products. Its presence can improve product consistency and prevent ingredient separation.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Cleansers / surfactants

Solubiliser and emulsifier

Helps blend oils and fragrance into water-based formulas for even texture and performance.

May suit
Useful for those who prefer haircare products with clear, consistent textures or evenly dispersed fragrance and oils.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in shampoos, conditioners and styling products to keep formulations stable and smooth. It also offers mild surfactant properties that support product rinse-off.
PVP Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming polymer

PVP is a film-forming ingredient that helps provide hold and structure in styling products.

May suit
Anyone looking for longer-lasting hold, enhanced definition or improved style memory.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates a flexible film on the hair shaft. Its performance can vary with humidity, so it is often blended with other polymers for stability.
Panthenol Conditioning agents

May suit
Most hair types, especially dry or dull hair.

Worth knowing
