Description

ORI Lab Gloss Serum is a lightweight finishing serum that adds instant shine and smoothness.

This serum works by coating each strand with a soft, light-reflecting layer that helps reduce frizz and flyaways. It glides through the hair without stickiness, leaving a silky, glossy finish that feels smooth rather than greasy.

The texture is fluid and featherlight, so hair still moves naturally and doesn’t feel weighed down. A gentle, clean scent lingers softly, making your hair feel freshly styled.

Ideal for dull, dry, or frizz-prone hair, it can be used on both straight and wavy styles, whether air-dried or blow-dried. Use it as the final touch to polish your look, or on second-day hair to refresh shine and softness.

Directions

How To Use ORI Lab Gloss Serum

Apply 1–2 pumps to clean, dry or towel-dried hair.
Rub serum between palms to evenly disperse.
Smooth through mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the roots.
Use a comb or fingers to distribute and style as desired.
Add a tiny extra drop on very dry or frizzy areas.

Cyclopentasiloxane Silicones

Slip and shine agent

A lightweight silicone that spreads product evenly and gives a silky, fast-absorbing feel.

May suit
People wanting a light, non-greasy smoothing or shine finish.

Worth knowing
Often used in serums and oils for a weightless feel. Some prefer silicone-free options depending on routine.
Dimethiconol Silicones

Smoothing silicone

A conditioning silicone that helps smooth hair, reduce frizz and add slip.

May suit
People looking for smoother, shinier hair or help with detangling.

Worth knowing
It is often blended with other silicones to create a lightweight, non-greasy finish. It forms a flexible film on the hair that can improve manageability.
Phenyl Trimethicone Silicones

Shine-enhancing silicone

A silicone that adds shine, smoothness and a silky feel to hair.

May suit
People looking to reduce frizz, enhance gloss or improve slip in styling products.

Worth knowing
It forms a lightweight, breathable film that helps minimise flyaways and improve manageability. It is commonly used in serums, conditioners and finishing products for a polished finish.
Cyclohexasiloxane Silicones

Lightweight silicone

A volatile silicone that provides slip and a smooth, silky feel without heaviness.

May suit
Those wanting smoother, easier‑to‑detangle hair or lightweight shine.

Worth knowing
It evaporates after application, making it useful for delivering spreadability without long‑term buildup. Commonly paired with other conditioning agents in styling and treatment formulas.
Isopropyl Myristate Conditioning agents

Emollient and texture enhancer

Helps soften hair and improve slip by adding light, non-greasy conditioning.

May suit
Those looking for smoother-feeling hair or products that apply and spread easily.

Worth knowing
It is a lightweight ester often used to reduce greasiness and enhance the feel of conditioning formulas. It can also support fragrance and oil distribution within a product.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Tocopheryl Acetate Conditioning agents

Antioxidant and conditioning support

A stable form of vitamin E used to help condition hair and support product stability.

May suit
Those looking for added conditioning support or antioxidant benefits in their haircare.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used because it is more stable than pure vitamin E while still offering similar benefits. It appears in many leave-in and rinse-off formulations.
Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate UV filters

UV filter

A UV-absorbing ingredient that helps protect hair and colour from sun-related fading.

May suit
Those who spend time outdoors or want to help maintain colour-treated hair.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in suncare and some hair products to support protection against UV exposure. In haircare, it mainly helps reduce colour fade rather than providing full sunscreen performance.
CI 15985 Colourants

Colourant

A synthetic orange-yellow colourant used to give products a consistent and appealing hue.

May suit
Those interested in the appearance and shade of their haircare products.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in personal care and regulated for use in cosmetics. Colourants like this help maintain batch-to-batch visual consistency.
Acid Violet 43 Colourants

Colourant

A synthetic violet dye used to add colour or adjust tones in haircare products.

May suit
People using colour-depositing shampoos, conditioners or masks may find it relevant.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in purple and violet toning formulas to help reduce the appearance of brassy or yellow tones in lightened hair. It is present in very small amounts to achieve precise colour effects.
