Description

Paul Mitchell Texturizing Spray 300ml is a lightweight styling mist that builds touchable, lived-in texture.

This spray adds body, volume, and definition without making hair feel sticky or weighed down. It works by lightly coating each strand, creating soft grip so styles hold better while still moving naturally.

The fine mist feels airy on the hair and dries to a soft, matte finish with a clean, salon-fresh scent. Hair feels lightly tousled, easier to shape, and simple to restyle with your fingers.

Ideal for fine to medium hair that needs extra oomph, or any style that looks better with a bit of undone texture. Use it on dry hair for instant volume, or on damp hair before blow-drying for long-lasting lift and separation.

Directions

How To Use Paul Mitchell Texturizing Spray 300ml

Shake well before use.
Hold can 20–25 cm from dry hair.
Spray lightly from mid-lengths to ends.
Scrunch, twist, or tousle with fingers to build texture.
Layer for extra volume, avoiding over-saturation.
For root lift, mist lightly at the roots and lift hair as it dries.

Alcohol Denat. Solvents

Solvent

A fast-evaporating solvent that helps dissolve ingredients and improve product dry time.

May suit
People who use styling products that benefit from quick drying or a lightweight feel.

Worth knowing
Its quick evaporation can help reduce residue and support a clean finish in styling formulas. Some may notice it can feel slightly drying in leave-in products depending on hair type.
Dimethyl Ether Solvents

Propellant / solvent

Dimethyl Ether is commonly used as a propellant and solvent in aerosol hair products.

May suit
Those using aerosol styling products such as hairsprays may encounter this ingredient.

Worth knowing
It helps deliver fine, even sprays and evaporates quickly after application. Its use relates to product format rather than hair type or concerns.
VA/Crotonates/Vinyl Neodecanoate Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film‑forming polymer that helps provide hold and shape in hair styling products.

May suit
Anyone using gels, mousses or sprays who wants longer‑lasting style retention.

Worth knowing
It creates an invisible, flexible film on the hair to help maintain the desired style. It is commonly used in many professional styling formulas for reliable hold.
Butane Solvents

Propellant

Butane is used as a propellant to dispense product from aerosol packaging.

May suit
People using aerosol haircare products such as sprays or foams.

Worth knowing
It evaporates quickly after application and does not remain on the hair or scalp. It is commonly blended with other propellants to achieve a consistent spray.
Propane Solvents

Propellant / solvent

Propane is used as a propellant to help dispense products from aerosol packaging.

May suit
Useful for those using aerosol haircare products such as sprays or foams.

Worth knowing
It evaporates quickly after application and does not remain on the hair or scalp. Its use is standard in many aerosol formats for consistent spray performance.
Glycerin Humectants

Humectant

Attracts and holds water to help hair feel hydrated and soft.

May suit
Dry or dehydrated hair, and many curl and moisture routines.

Worth knowing
A very common, well-tolerated humectant used across countless products.
PEG-12 Dimethicone Silicones

Silicone-based conditioning agent

A water-dispersible silicone that helps soften hair, add slip and reduce frizz.

May suit
People looking for smoother, easier-to-detangle hair without a heavy silicone feel.

Worth knowing
Because it is water-dispersible, it tends to rinse out more easily than many traditional silicones. It is commonly used in both rinse-off and leave-in formulas for added manageability.
Aminomethyl Propanol pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Helps adjust and stabilise the pH of haircare formulations.

May suit
Those interested in how product pH affects hair and scalp feel may find its presence relevant.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used at low levels to help formulas stay effective and consistent. It does not act on the hair directly but supports the overall product performance.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Limonene Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component that also occurs naturally in many citrus and plant oils.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Linalool Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

A fragrance component found naturally in many flowers and spices.

Worth knowing
A fragrance component that must be listed separately on labels because a minority of people can be sensitive to it. Its presence is normal, required disclosure and is not a quality signal.
Citral Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance component

Citral is a fragrance ingredient used to provide a fresh, citrus-like scent.

May suit
Those who enjoy citrus-style fragrances or want products with a fresh aromatic profile.

Worth knowing
Citral is naturally present in several essential oils and is listed on labels because it is a recognised fragrance allergen. Only small amounts are typically used to adjust or enhance a product’s scent.
Benzyl Alcohol Preservatives

Preservative

Helps preserve formulations and can also act as a solvent or light fragrance component.

May suit
Those interested in understanding preservative systems or identifying potential fragrance allergens.

Worth knowing
Benzyl Alcohol is commonly used in professional haircare to support product stability and texture. It can also naturally occur in some essential oils.
Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
