This liquid, blue-tinted formula glides through damp hair, coating each strand with a sheer, glossy veil. As it sits, the blue pigments help counter unwanted orange and brassy hues, leaving brunette and dark blonde hair looking richer and more even.

Directions

How To Use Pureology Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Blue/Bleu

Shampoo hair, then rinse thoroughly
Squeeze out excess water; leave hair very damp, not dripping
Apply evenly from mid-lengths to ends; comb through if needed
Leave on for 5–10 minutes, checking tone in good light
Rinse well until water runs clear; do not shampoo again
Follow with a light conditioner on ends if desired
Use once a week or whenever brassiness appears
Wear gloves if you have very dry or sensitive hands

It wouldn't work on my medium brown hair, the results are barely barely noticeable, even though I used a large amount and applied it for 15 minutes for the 1st time, and the next time - for 25 minutes. So it surely won't work on level 4 hair as advertised. Perhaps only on light brown or dark blonde hair. I also doubt very much it would las "for up to 8 washes".

The first time I used it it had a great moisturizing effect, but for some reason this didn't happen during subsequent applications.

It's nice it didn't stain the bath. That's a plus!
