Why you’ll love it

Freeze your style in place, without freezing how your hair feels.
Strong, dry hold that keeps curls, waves, and up-dos locked in.
Fine mist coats evenly, avoiding wet patches or sticky clumps.
Brushable finish lets you restyle without flakes or stiffness.

Description

Schwarzkopf Professional Session Label No.3 The Strong Dry Firm-Hold Hairspray locks styles fast with a clean, brushable hold.

This high-performance hairspray delivers powerful, long-lasting control without stiffness or crunch. The ultra-fine, fast-drying mist spreads evenly, gripping each strand so up-dos, waves, and sleek looks stay in place.

Hair feels dry to the touch, not sticky, with a natural-looking, satin finish. The light, modern scent fades softly, so your style stands out, not your hairspray.

Designed for those who need reliable hold from morning to night, on shoots, events, or busy days. Use it as a final step to set your look, or layer it for stronger hold where you need it most.

Directions

Dimethyl Ether Solvents

Propellant / solvent

Dimethyl Ether is commonly used as a propellant and solvent in aerosol hair products.

May suit
Those using aerosol styling products such as hairsprays may encounter this ingredient.

Worth knowing
It helps deliver fine, even sprays and evaporates quickly after application. Its use relates to product format rather than hair type or concerns.
Alcohol Denat. Solvents

Solvent

A fast-evaporating solvent that helps dissolve ingredients and improve product dry time.

May suit
People who use styling products that benefit from quick drying or a lightweight feel.

Worth knowing
Its quick evaporation can help reduce residue and support a clean finish in styling formulas. Some may notice it can feel slightly drying in leave-in products depending on hair type.
Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Octylacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that provides hold, shape retention and humidity resistance in styling products.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting style hold or frizz control.

Worth knowing
This polymer is commonly used in gels, sprays and creams to help hairstyles stay in place. It forms a light, flexible film that washes out with regular cleansing.
AMP-Acrylates Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and humidity resistance in styling products.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting style hold or improved curl definition.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in gels, mousses and sprays because it helps hair maintain shape without feeling overly stiff. Its performance can vary depending on formulation and humidity levels.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Triethyl Citrate Solvents

Solvent / formulation aid

Triethyl Citrate helps dissolve and stabilise other ingredients in a formula.

May suit
Those interested in product texture or performance consistency.

Worth knowing
It can also act as a mild fixative, helping some styling ingredients work more effectively. Its gentle profile makes it a versatile component in many formulations.
Aminomethyl Propanol pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Helps adjust and stabilise the pH of haircare formulations.

May suit
Those interested in how product pH affects hair and scalp feel may find its presence relevant.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used at low levels to help formulas stay effective and consistent. It does not act on the hair directly but supports the overall product performance.
Panthenol Conditioning agents

Helps condition, soften and add a smooth, healthy feel to the hair.

May suit
Most hair types, especially dry or dull hair.

Worth knowing
A versatile, well-tolerated conditioning ingredient.
