Basics of Straightening
1.	Plug the straightening iron into a standard electrical outlet (240v). It is not necessary to touch the iron with your hand to judge readiness.
2.	Section dry hair evenly, and for best results comb each section. Position the iron on the hair as far up as you want hair to be straightened, being careful not to let the iron touch the scalp. Close the iron with the hair between the two plates and gently pull the iron down to the end of the section of hair you are straightening. Repeat these processes as necessary. Let hair cool before combing. Close the iron with the hair between the two plates and gently pull the iron down to the end of the section you are straightening. Do not hold the iron on any one section of the hair.
	TEMPERATURE SETTINGS HAIR TYPE 150c - 165c Fragile or Fine 165c - 180c Normal Texture 180c - 195c Wavy, Curly 195c - 210c Coarse or thick

Styling Tips
Straighten flat	Section dry hair using sectioning clips, then with the iron at 45 degree angle (iron leaning towards the floor) start moving the iron away from the scalp in a continuous motion. Continue this technique until your hair is straight, smooth and glossy.
Straighten with volume	Section dry hair using sectioning clips, then with the iron at a 90 degree angle (straight out from the scalp) start moving the iron away from the scalp in a continuous motion. Continue this technique until your hair has body with a smooth and glossy finish.
	Recommended section sizes: 7cm wide x 1.5 high.
Kicks and Flicks	Section dry hair with sectioning clips, starting at mid-length in a continuous motion, move the iron away from the scalp until you reach the last 3” of each section, then turn the iron in the direction you desire your hair to kick or flick.
	Recommended section sizes: 5cm wide x 3cm high.
Curling	Section dry hair with sectioning clips, starting at the roots with the iron almost vertical to the scalp, and in a continuous motion, move the iron away from the scalp, turning the iron as you move down each section of hair. Use this motion from the roots down to the ends. Leave curl undisturbed for barrel curls or shake out for more texture. Depending on the desired result you can turn the iron forwards and backwards.
	Recommended section size: 3cm square; use the larger sections for bigger curls.
Spikes	Section dry hair with sectioning clips, spray each section with hairspray, at a 90 degree angle (straight out from the scalp), start moving the iron away from the scalp in a continuous motion. Continue this technique until your hair is spiking. This is not limited to shorter lengths, longer hair will also spike.
	Recommended section sizes: 5cm wide x 1.5cm high.

Worth the money

I certainly would recommend this for anyone with coarse hair. My hair is very thick and long, but once I use this straightener I look at totally different person!

I love the smooth, silky finish this straightener gives!

Even thought I have only recently purchased this hair straightener (one month ago) it has been fantastic.

My Lightning Plus Titanium stopped working a while ago and I needed a replacement. I was recommended this hair straightener as it is the best titanium hair straightener to date. There are many advantages to this. Instant heat up, smooth plates, no pulling, beautiful shiny straight hair in one glide.

I would recommend this over the Lightning Plus Titanium as its design is much better. Being less less bulky, it is easier to create flicks and curls.
