"ive tried other styling creams which have given me defined looks, and to add texture i would have needed to use a spray wax.

Messing creme really provides the texture that Ive been trying to achieve for so long. It gives a matte (or subtle shine) finish, a lot of texture to the hair, and this grippy feeling.
