Ingredients

Keune Style Refresh Dry Texturizer No.61 Ingredients

Dimethyl Ether, Alcohol Denat., VP/VA Copolymer, Zeolite, Isopropyl Alcohol, Dipropylene Glycol, Parfum (Fragrance), Benzophenone-4.

Dimethyl Ether Solvents

Propellant / solvent

Dimethyl Ether is commonly used as a propellant and solvent in aerosol hair products.

May suit
Those using aerosol styling products such as hairsprays may encounter this ingredient.

Worth knowing
It helps deliver fine, even sprays and evaporates quickly after application. Its use relates to product format rather than hair type or concerns.
Alcohol Denat. Solvents

Solvent

A fast-evaporating solvent that helps dissolve ingredients and improve product dry time.

May suit
People who use styling products that benefit from quick drying or a lightweight feel.

Worth knowing
Its quick evaporation can help reduce residue and support a clean finish in styling formulas. Some may notice it can feel slightly drying in leave-in products depending on hair type.
VP/VA Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and style retention.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting hold or improved definition in styling products.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates flexible, brushable hold. It can also help reduce frizz by forming a lightweight coating on the hair.
Zeolite Chelating agents

Mineral absorbent / chelating agent

A naturally occurring mineral that helps absorb impurities and bind excess minerals in formulations.

May suit
Those looking for products that support scalp freshness or help reduce mineral buildup from hard water.

Worth knowing
Zeolite can enhance the feel and clarity of formulations by trapping unwanted ions or excess oil. It is used in small amounts to support product performance rather than as a primary active.
Isopropyl Alcohol Solvents

Solvent

Helps dissolve ingredients and supports quick-drying formulas.

May suit
Those using styling products that benefit from fast evaporation, such as sprays.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used at low levels to improve texture and spreadability. It evaporates quickly, leaving minimal residue on the hair.
Dipropylene Glycol Humectants

Humectant

A versatile humectant that helps attract and hold moisture while improving product texture and spreadability.

May suit
Those looking for products that support moisture balance without heaviness.

Worth knowing
It is also commonly used as a solvent to help dissolve other ingredients evenly in a formula. It is well tolerated in most haircare products and contributes to a smooth application feel.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
Benzophenone-4 UV filters

UV filter

Helps absorb UV light and protect product formulas and hair colour from UV-related degradation.

May suit
People looking to maintain colour-treated hair or reduce UV impact on hair and scalp.

Worth knowing
It is often used to help stabilise formulas that may be exposed to sunlight. Its presence can support the longevity of colour care products.
