Description

Solfine Oxy 20 Vol Developer is a creamy oxidising lotion for even, reliable hair colour results. Designed to be mixed with Solfine hair colours and lighteners, this 20 volume developer helps lift natural pigment while depositing colour evenly from roots to ends.

Its smooth, stabilised cream texture spreads easily through the hair, making application controlled and comfortable for both scalp and lengths. Ideal for grey coverage, tone-on-tone lightening and standard lightening services, it supports consistent, predictable outcomes with a balanced processing time. Use it for permanent colour, toners or bleach, according to your desired result and professional instructions. Hair feels thoroughly saturated with mixture, allowing colour to develop evenly for a refined, salon-finish result.

Directions

How To Use Solfine Oxy 20 Vol Developer

Wear suitable gloves before handling the product.

Ingredients

Solfine Oxy 20 Vol Developer Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Phosphoric Acid, Disodium Pyrophosphate, Etidronic Acid, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Stannate, Parfum (Fragrance).

Aqua Solvents

Solvent

The water base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients in most products.

May suit
All hair and skin types.

Worth knowing
Almost always the first ingredient listed in water-based products.
Hydrogen Peroxide Colourants

Oxidising agent

Used as an oxidising agent to lighten hair or activate hair dyes.

May suit
People using permanent colour, lightening, or bleaching services.

Worth knowing
It works by helping colour pigments develop or by lifting natural pigment during lightening. Formulations are balanced to achieve predictable results when used as directed.
Cetearyl Alcohol Conditioning agents

Fatty alcohol conditioner

A fatty alcohol that helps soften hair and improve the texture of formulations.

May suit
People looking for smoother, more manageable hair or richer, creamier product textures.

Worth knowing
Despite the name, fatty alcohols are moisturising and conditioning rather than drying. They also help stabilise and thicken many haircare formulas.
Ceteareth-20 Cleansers / surfactants

Emulsifier and surfactant

Helps blend oil- and water-based ingredients to create a smooth, stable formula.

May suit
Those who prefer products with a creamy, uniform texture.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used in conditioners and styling products to keep formulas consistent and easy to apply. It also supports even distribution of other ingredients through the hair.
Phosphoric Acid pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Helps control and stabilise the pH level of haircare formulations.

May suit
Those interested in how products are balanced for optimal performance and scalp comfort.

Worth knowing
It is commonly used to fine-tune acidity so that formulas remain effective and comfortable to use. Only small amounts are typically required to achieve the desired pH.
Etidronic Acid Chelating agents

Chelating agent

Etidronic Acid helps bind metal ions in water and formulas to support product stability and performance.

May suit
People living in hard‑water areas or those wanting formulas that rinse more cleanly.

Worth knowing
Chelating agents can support the effectiveness of cleansing and conditioning products by preventing mineral build‑up. They are widely used at low levels to help maintain formulation clarity and consistency.
Sodium Stannate Thickeners and stabilisers

Stabiliser

Sodium Stannate is used as a stabilising aid to help maintain the performance of certain haircare formulations.

May suit
People using peroxide-based hair colour or lightening products where stabilisers help keep the formula consistent.

Worth knowing
It appears most often in technical or professional products that require ingredients to support formula stability over time. It is typically used at low levels for functional support rather than for a direct effect on the hair.
Parfum Fragrance ingredients

Fragrance

Gives the product its scent.

May suit
People who enjoy a scented product.

Worth knowing
Fragrance preference is personal. Some people prefer fragrance-free formulas by choice.
