Ingredients

Malibu C CPR Color Pigment Remover Sachet x 3 Ingredients

Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Gluconate.

Ascorbic Acid pH adjusters

pH adjuster / antioxidant

Ascorbic Acid is a form of vitamin C used to help adjust pH and support formula stability.

May suit
People using clarifying or colour-care products may appreciate its ability to support brightness and maintain product performance.

Worth knowing
It can also function as an antioxidant, helping protect formulas from oxidation. Its presence does not typically affect how a product feels or performs on the hair.
Citric Acid pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Fine-tunes the product pH, which can help the hair surface feel smooth.

May suit
Most hair types as part of a balanced formula.

Worth knowing
Usually present in small amounts to balance the formula.
Sodium Citrate pH adjusters

pH adjuster

Sodium Citrate helps maintain or adjust the pH of haircare formulas.

May suit
Anyone using products designed to stay within a specific pH range, such as colour‑treated or chemically treated hair.

Worth knowing
It also has mild chelating abilities, helping formulas remain stable in the presence of minerals found in water. Its use supports the consistency and performance of many shampoos and conditioners.
Xanthan Gum Thickeners and stabilisers

Thickener and stabiliser

Xanthan Gum helps thicken and stabilise haircare formulas for a smooth, consistent texture.

May suit
People who prefer products with a richer or more gel-like texture.

Worth knowing
It is a polysaccharide widely used in cosmetics to keep formulas uniform and easy to apply. It works well alongside many other common ingredients.
Sodium Gluconate Chelating agents

Chelating agent

Helps bind metal ions in water and formulas to support stability and performance.

May suit
Those living in hard-water areas or using products designed to maintain formula clarity and effectiveness.

Worth knowing
By binding minerals, it can help reduce the impact of hard water on hair feel and product behaviour. It is commonly used in modern, mild formulations.
