"Great value for the price, this bottle will last ages as I only use a small amount. I'm still figuring out my curl routine but I can definitely see more defined curls that last a few days using this " - Courtney

Description

Redken Sculpting Curl Gel is a light, defining gel that shapes curls without stiffness.

This curl gel helps guide each strand into place, giving clearer, more even curls while helping to control frizz. It smooths over damp hair like a silky lotion at first, then sets into a flexible hold as it dries.

Curls feel touchable, not crunchy, with a subtle salon-fresh scent that isn’t too strong. The finish is glossy yet controlled, so curls look neater and more defined throughout the day.

It’s ideal for wavy, curly, or coily hair that tends to lose shape, especially in humidity. Use it on wash days, refresh days, or before styling your hair into twist-outs, finger coils, or diffused curls for a more polished look.

Directions

How To Use Redken Sculpting Curl Gel

Apply to clean, damp hair from roots to ends.
Rake through with fingers or a wide-tooth comb.
Scrunch curls upward to boost shape and bounce.
Air-dry or diffuse without touching too much while drying.
Once dry, gently scrunch again to break any light cast.

VP/VA Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming styling polymer

A film-forming polymer that helps provide hold, texture and style retention.

May suit
People looking for longer-lasting hold or improved definition in styling products.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in gels, mousses and sprays because it creates flexible, brushable hold. It can also help reduce frizz by forming a lightweight coating on the hair.
Acrylates Copolymer Thickeners and stabilisers

Film-forming polymer

Acrylates Copolymer helps form a lightweight film that supports hold, texture and product stability.

May suit
People looking for enhanced styling hold or frizz control.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in styling products to help shape and set the hair without feeling heavy. It also contributes to product consistency and spreadability.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Cleansers / surfactants

Solubiliser and emulsifier

Helps blend oils and fragrance into water-based formulas for even texture and performance.

May suit
Useful for those who prefer haircare products with clear, consistent textures or evenly dispersed fragrance and oils.

Worth knowing
It is widely used in shampoos, conditioners and styling products to keep formulations stable and smooth. It also offers mild surfactant properties that support product rinse-off.
Propylene Glycol Humectants

Humectant

May suit
Most hair types as part of a moisturising formula.

Worth knowing
A widely used humectant and carrier ingredient.
Aminomethyl Propanol pH adjusters

PEG-8 Dimethicone Silicones

Lightweight silicone conditioning agent

Provides light conditioning and helps improve slip and softness without heavy buildup.

May suit
People wanting smoother, more manageable hair or lighter-feeling silicone conditioning.

Worth knowing

May suit
Anyone who prefers smooth, consistent textures in styling or leave-in products.

Worth knowing

Film-forming conditioner

A film-forming polymer that helps smooth, condition and lightly hold the hair.
